Based on real events, THE PROM tells the story of a high schooler who wants to take her girlfriend to the prom. When the school board, PTA, and homophobic parents say no, a group of Broadway stars step in to give Emma and her date the prom of their dreams. Lyric's summer production runs through July 16th at the Civic Center Music Hall.

The Pollard presents the horrifically fun LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS through July 1st, 2023. The cult hit features singable tunes from Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, lovable shop owners, sadistic dentists, and one very bloodthirsty plant. LITTLE SHOP is a romp down memory lane and gives the audience a useful piece of advice- Never, ever feed the plant.

Marie Antoinette is a historical figure that has only grown larger than life and her wigs as time has gone by. The French Revolution starts as a spark and ends with a full-blown blaze in this historical drama, on stage at OU's intimate blackbox style Weitzenhoffer Theatre, now through April 30th on their Norman campus.

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma presents THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG now through April 23rd at their Plaza District location. When a well-intentioned but unprepared community theatre company attempts to open a murder-mystery play, disaster ensues. Lyric's cast of pros pulls off this comedic farce with gutsy moves and disastrous consequences.

The national tour of FROZEN breezes into OKC now through April 2nd at the Civic Center Music Hall. When princess of Arendelle Elsa comes of age, she's crowned queen. Cursed with powers she can't control, she unleashes an endless winter. Her sister Anna will stop at nothing to save her. Frozen is a sweeping, beautiful show from Disney Theatricals.

Audiences have a chance to get in on the action and help solve the murder with CLUE: The Musical. Based on the popular whodunnit board game, CLUE is an interactive mystery musical that's entertaining and fun for all audiences. Come ready to investigate, as the ending to this musical changes from night to night.

The Southmoore High School Spring production is SpongeBob The Musical. This whimsical take on the popular 1990s cartoon features a star-studded lineup of original tunes by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Lady A, and more. The large ensemble cast is having the time of their lives with this fish tale.

Big River is based on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. This Theatre for Young Audiences version has been adapted from the original Tony Award winning musical. Lyric presents their annual kids' show now through March 11th at their Lyric at the Plaza venue.

When three best friends embark on a self-care weekend, they expect a quiet few days in the woods. They bring wine and bath bombs, and set up a 'ritual' to cast out their old selves. All hell breaks loose when they cast those demons out and right into their cabin. It's a fight to the death for the three best friends in this 'self-care culture' satire.

The 2019 Tony Award winner for best musical, HADESTOWN, makes its tour stop in OKC. Hadestown is a mashup of two Greek mythologies, with original music and lyrics by singer/songwriter Anais Mitchell. When Eurydice follows Hades to his underground kingdom, Orpheus risks it all to find her and bring her back.

Rocky Horror returns to Lyric Theatre and patrons are so glad! This season's production is nicer than Betty Monroe had, and it's bigger than ever with a Texas-themed setting. Rocky Horror is raunchy and sexy, and it's the cure for whatever is holding you back. Don't dream it, be it. Rose tint your world with this fun and naughty production. Yeehaw!

OKC Broadway opens their fall season with the new tour of HAIRSPRAY. This is the Hairspray you know and love, with iconic musical numbers and higher than high hair dos. When teenaged Tracy Turnblad lands a spot on the Corny Collins show, she wants nothing more than to dance on TV with her friends. She and her gang set out to integrate the show.

Broadway World interviews production director of LIZZE, Cameron King. Presented by Southern Plains Productions, Lizzie runs August 18th and 19th at the Tower Theatre in OKC.

3rd Act Theatre Company in Oklahoma City opens Season 4: REGENERATE. The first show in Season 4 is the Noire production of Cyrano De Bergerac, and stars Taylor Reich as Cyrano and Holly McNatt as Roxane. Season tickets are on sale now.

Lyric opens their final production of their 2022 Summer series. KINKY BOOTS is a fun-filled romp with a message of love and self-acceptance. With book by Harvey Fierstein and music by Cyndi Lauper, this Tony winner tells the story of Charlie Price, a shoemaker with a failing business. He meets Lola and the two go into business together.

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma presents a dazzling spectacle on the Civic Center stage. The second of their three summer musicals, CAROUSEL is a beautiful musical, complete with epic dance numbers and opera-level singing. The orchestra onstage adds to the romantic quality of this Rodgers and Hammerstein classic.

MATILDA is a funny, irreverent story about a special young girl. Gifted with imagination and the ability to teach herself complex subjects, Matilda appeals to anyone who has the fighting spirit. Roald Dahl's beloved children's novel was adapted for the stage by Dennis Kelly, with songs by Tim Minchin. Lyric presents Matilda at the Civic Center. See what our critic thought. 

FLIPSIDE: The Patti Page Story celebrates its ten year anniversary production at St. Luke's downtown. Written and developed by UCO MT Dept. Head Greg White, FLIPSIDE is a celebration of the life and career of Oklahoma-born icon Patti Page. The musical features some of the best known tunes from 'The Singin' Rage, Ms. Patti Page'.
