In Dumas' text, Armand Marguerite gives the Roman Manon Lescaux. Neumeier added therefore his ballet
through the Marguerite appear figures Manon Lescaut and des Grieux, again and again. In them you will be
Reflects thoughts, doubts and dreams of Marguerite and Armand. The Ballet ends with one of Marguerite
"Pas de trois", in which she so strongly identifies with the lovers, fantasized that they no longer
can distinguish Armand or it is des Grieux, is Marguerite or it is Manon. The abandonment
and loneliness of Manon and des Grieux accompany them in their death.
