The Acting Troupe of Lambert Brings “Fiddler On The Roof” to the Stage!

The award-winning Acting Troupe of Lambert is thrilled to present the musical “Fiddler on the Roof” at Lambert High School on October 18th, 19th & 20th, 2018!
Winner of 9 Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof is the brainchild of Broadway legends, Jerome Robbins and Harold Prince; songwriters, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick; and bookwriter, Joseph Stein. Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show has been a staple of the musical theatre canon since 1964.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

The show features a star turn in Tevye, among the most memorable roles in musical theatre. With iconic and beloved songs such as "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," Fiddler on the Roof is the perfect mix of audience-pleasing humor and heart.

Artistic Direction/Choreography is under the direction of Lambert High School’s Theater Department Director, Ms. Carly Berg along with Student Assistant Choreographers, Caroline Cannizzaro and Maddie Crews. Music direction is under Lambert High School’s Chorus/Music Theory Director, Mr. Ryan Wason.

Performances will be held at the Lambert High School Auditorium: 805 Nichols Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024 (in the back of the school).

Friday, October 19th at 7:00 PM
Saturday, October 20th at 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM

Tickets will be sold online and at the door. Online tickets may be purchased starting October 4th at Noon by going to: http://www.showtix4u.com and type in Acting Troupe of Lambert. Students $10, and Adults $15. (Seat selection is available for online purchases only. Tickets sold at the door are general admission.) Tickets will sell out so don’t wait!
