Yesterday, TMZ confirms exclusively that O'Donnell will in fact return as a host of ABC's THE VIEW, following news that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy would be vacating their spots on the morning talk show. O'Donnell would join sole remaining host Whoopi Goldberg.

According to today's New York Post, O'Donnell has been offered a "one-year, seven-figure deal" with the stipulation that she has a say on who her co-hosts may be, and is asking that absolutely no reality stars are considered. Rosie's last experience on the show in 2007 ended with an on-air disagreement with then host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, once a contestant on CBS's Survivor.

TMZ recently reported that producers are also looking for a Latina and a conservative to fill the remaining spots. Under consideration are Abby Huntsman and Margaret Hoover.

BWW also reported last week that the show is considering having revolving guests hosts, such as Idina Menzel and Bernadette Peters stop by to add entertainment to the provocative hour.

O'Donnell recently guest-starred on ABC Family's hit series, The Fosters as Rita Henricks, a tough yet compassionate woman who works in the foster care system and is a mentor to a member of the Foster family. O'Donnell's first appearance on January 20 helped The Fosters to garner a series high in total viewers. The actress has appeared on Broadway in 'Grease,' 'Seussical' and 'Fiddler on the Roof.'
