Nightwood Theatre, Quote Unquote Collective and Why Not Theatre are immensely proud to co-produce the World Premiere of Now You See Her. With a track record of successful collaboration, from supporting the first iteration of Quote Unquote's Mouthpiece in the RISER Project in 2015, to its production in Nightwood Theatre's 2016/17 and 2017/18 mainstage seasons, the relationship has been a fruitful one. Now, fresh from premiering the critically acclaimed adaptation of MOUTHPIECE as the Special Presentations Opening Night film at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, Dora Award-winning artists Amy Nostbakken and Norah Sadava (Artists to Watch in Fall 2018 - NOW Magazine) have joined forces with Lisa Karen Cox, Maggie Huculak, Raha Javanfar, and Cheyenne Scott to create this incendiary new piece of theatre.

"We are thrilled to continue to support the bold and beautiful aesthetic of Quote Unquote Collective and to be part of the team that is ushering this daring new work to the stage." - Nightwood Theatre Artistic Director, Kelly Thornton.

"This fearless ensemble of artists will rock your world. Now You See Her is theatrical innovation of the highest calibre and a kind of storytelling that thrives on a multitude of perspectives - Black, Indigenous, aging and otherwise marginalized female bodies all come together to tell their stories on their own terms." - Why Not Theatre Artistic Director, Ravi Jain.

They are the invisible, the vanishing and the disappeared. In an insurrectionary outburst of original music, words and movement, six characters in Now You See Her explore some of the diverse ways women fade from sight in our culture. They sing, dance and thrust themselves into the elements as they travel through the seasons of their lives. Their voices are defiant. Their question is simple: why and how do we allow our power to disappear without a fight?
