The Empress Theatre Presents Sweet Soul Music Sweet Soul Music is a night that pays tribute to the Kings and Queen of Blues and R&B featuring Tina Turner impersonator and 2016 Northern California Entertainer of the Year, Kiesha Wright, R&B Old School band Norman and the Boyz from Stockton, CA, Guitarist Dave Kast, and more. A portion of the nights proceeds will benefit UCSF Benioff's Children's Hospital.

Kiesha Wright has been performing since she was seven years old when she played the organ at her local church. She studied music and dance at San Francisco State University before being hired as the first Tina Turner impersonator with Legends in Concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada. She now performs all over the world paying tribute to Tina Turner, an also with her Kiesha Wright Show. She started her own nonprofit organization called the Kiesha Wright-Mary Lou Children's Foundation to give back to charities who help children and families who are battling childhood Leukemia.

The Empress Theatre is operated and maintained by the Vallejo Community Arts Foundation, Inc, a non-profit public benefit corporation. Built in 1911, the Empress Theatre is a historical landmark located in the heart of downtown Vallejo, California.
