TRADITIONS OF CHRISTMAS to Return to Treasure Valley for Second Year

Treasure Valley's newest tradition returns for the second year. Traditions of Christmas will be performed at the Nampa Civic Center December 15 - 23, 2017.

Traditions of Christmas is a Radio City Music Hall style show which includes beautifully choreographed kick-line tap numbers, Santa's workshop, a heartfelt military tribute performance and a grand Nativity conclusion. It features a cast of over 60 local performers, live animals, and over 400 costumes.

This musical spectacular is brought to you by Laura Little Theatricals. Laura is the Broadway co-producer of the Tony Award winning Come From Away, Peter and the Starcatcher and First Date. Laura has been traveling to the Treasure Valley frequently over the past three years to spend time with her son and his family. "When I visit the community, I am always drawn to the strong sense of pride and nostalgia within the people I meet. Traditions of Christmas caters to these emotions, and I anticipate that this show will become a tradition, here, for families and friends for years to come," says Little.

In November 2017, Laura Little Theatricals celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Nampa, Meridian, and Caldwell Chambers of Commerce to further establish the organization's commitment to the community.

"Even if you saw Traditions of Christmas last year, I encourage you to come see it again. We change it from year to year to keep it fresh. I am excited about the local casting which includes 60 people. Some have returned from last year and some choir members are completely new to the production. We are always thrilled when families participate together. "We have a record breaking number of families involved with the show this year." says director Andy Renfew.

The production is directed by Andy Renfrew with musical direction by JeNeale Gunnell. The three choreographers include Claudia Palta, Shannon Peterson, and Alexis Langworthy. The cast of 60+ performers, from all around the Treasure Valley, rehearse once a week, beginning early fall, and are eager to show their community the quality of their efforts

Finding live animals to appear in the show has been challenging, but much to the delight of the audience, Claire the donkey will be making her appearance in the Nativity Scene in 2017.

Don't miss the opportunity to see Traditions of Christmas playing at the Nampa Civic Center, a proud sponsor of the show, 311 3rd Street, Nampa, December 15, 16, 21, and 22 at 7pm, December 16, 17, and 23 at 3pm, and a special 11am matinee performance on December 23.
