TNT presents Smart and Funny One Man Show BUYER & CELLAR Terrific New Theatre presents the Alabama premiere of the hilarious and whimsical comedy "Buyer & Cellar." The production opens March 8 and continues through March 24, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees on March 11 and March 18 at 2:30 p.m.

Local actor Caleb Clark stars in this one-man tour de force where he brings six distinctive characters to life, including Barbra Streisand and her husband, James Brolin. Clark, a native of Munford, Ala., has been seen on the stages of Georgia Shakespeare and ALLIANCE THEATRE in Atlanta, Birmingham Children's Theatre and Opera Birmingham, and was most recently a featured soloist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra's "Birmingham Does Broadway" concert. The play is directed by Tam DeBolt, Terrific New Theatre's artistic director.

Written by Jonathan Tolins, the story begins with the facts - Barbra Streisand has a beautiful estate in Malibu and wrote a book about its construction called "My Passion for Design." In the basement of that estate, she had a shopping mall built to hold all of her possessions. The play continues with this fictional premise - What would happen if someone were hired to work in that mall? What would he do? Who would he meet? Would Barbra ever shop there? The play, originally starring Michael Urie, ran for nearly 500 performances off-Broadway, won the 2014 Lucille Lortel Award for a solo show, and also won the 2013 Drama Desk Award for outstanding solo performance.

Stage-managed by Neal Hunter Hyde with set design by DeBolt and Stephen Fister, the show will have Scott Littleton as its lighting designer. Jay Tumminello and Hyde are the sound designers for the production.
