THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW will open in Vienna at the MuseumQuartier in Halle E and play from November 28 to December 16. The show will be performed in English with a German-speaking narrator.

The show opened on Broadway in 1975 and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Lighting Design. The show was revived in 2000 and and ran until 2002, during which time it received Tony Award nominations for Best Revival of A Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical (Tom Hewitt), Best Direction of a Musical, and Best Costume Design. The revival was also nominated for five Drama Desk Awards.

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW follows wholesome couple Brad Majors and his fiancee Janet Weiss who are stranded with a flat tire during a thunderstorm. They seek refuge at the castle of Dr. Frank N. Furter, a mad, transvestite scientist who turns their world upside down. With a classic rock'n'roll score and its homage to the sci-fi film and horror genre, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is a hilarious, exciting ride for audiences.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung called it "groovy, rocky, irresistible," while the Berliner Zeitung called it "a trippy rock 'n' roll epic: fast, furious, and utterly amazing."

With music, lyrics, and a book by Richard O'Brien, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW features unforgettable songs like "The Time Warp" and "Sweet Transvestite."
