THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW Will Close in NYC Followed by Canadian Debut

The global sensation, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, created by Jonathan Rockefeller, has performed over 1000 shows worldwide and is currently playing in New York City's DR2 Theatre and Oregon's Children's Theatre.

The New York production began in September of 2017 and will end its run, as planned, on May 20, 2018 to accommodate the upcoming run at Toronto's Al Green Theatre from July 21 through September 30. A theatrical recreation of Eric Carle's beautifully imaginative stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, features a menagerie of enchanting puppets during a magical 60-minute show that faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle's beloved books for the stage. New York is currently the only venue that features the new edition of The Very Hungry Caterpillarincludes the World Premiere of Brown Bear, Brown Bear celebrating its 50th Anniversary, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar has brought Eric Carle's beloved Very Hungry Caterpillar around the world, including sold out shows in Australia, UK (including a run on the West End), Dubai, New Zealand, San Francisco, Dallas, Oregon and New York and gearing up for Canada.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show was nominated for a Drama Desk and Off-Broadway Alliance Award and will continue to perform at Union Square's DR2 Theatre (103 East 15 Street). The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show plays: Friday at 10am; Saturday at 10am, 12pm, 2pm & 4pm; Sunday 10am, 12pm, 2pm.
