SEUSSICAL! THE MUSICAL Youth Show Comes To Lost Nation Theater Lost Nation Theater, proudly presents its Young Company in the Magical Musical: Seussical by Tony Winners Steven Flaherty, Lynn Aherns & Eric Idle - based on the wonderful works of Dr. Seuss

"Oh the Thinks You Can Think" Seussical-the Musical is a treat for the whole family and folks of all ages!

The culminating project of LNT's Intensive Youth Music-Theater program It's Theater FOR Kids, BY Kids! Fri -Sun, August 10 -12, at City Hall Arts Center, in downtown Montpelier.

Dr. Seuss's best-loved characters collide and cavort in such a musical way, you'll find yourself skipping & singing the rest of the day! It's Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Mayzie, The Sour Kangaroo, and all The Who's, in a captivating caper created just for you!

LNT's advanced students, led by a top-flight professional directing/design team spearheaded by Sarah Jane Schostack (whose work's been featured at Lincoln Center and was seen earlier this season at LNT with Urinetown), create this unique ensemble production. Seussical will be great. And here are the dates: August 10-12. Just 3 days! And it's all happening over Lost Nation Theater's way!

The show features 21 rising stars -aspiring pro's ages 10-21. They're supported by backstage by Lost Nation Theater's technical wizards, including 2 student technical designers. It's imaginative, inventive, inspiring and entertaining theater everyone, no matter what age, can enjoy!

Many Seussical triple threats are LNT Young Company veterans (from across Vermont, and the USA): Kira Rose Bate, Adele Bernier, Stella Best, Trubel Blumenthal, Ella Bradley, Russell Clar, Leonie Fournier, Grace Hardaker, Ben Jeffries, Felix Kaldec, JT Kress, Kiera Leitch, Bian Leon, Vida Leon, Zella McMahon, Genevieve Moore, Miles Ellis Novotny, Theo Ellis Novotny, Gemma Pello, Bria Slone, Maia Smith, Taylor Stevens, and Charlie Wallich. All went through a rigorous audition-interview process to become part of the ensemble.

Choreographer Taryn Noelle says: "We've been blessed with a tremendously hard-working group who are embracing the challenges and fun of learning new dance styles for this year's Choreography. Incorporating both Salsa, Mambo and Samba; East Coast Style Swing, Lindy Hop and Jitterbug. Plus, the Gospel music in the show has us doing Motown, and even Tina Turner style moves as well!"

Lost Nation Theater Artistic Directors Kathleen Keenan and Kim Bent have repeatedly stated how trilled they with the entire creative team they've assembled for LNT's Theater FOR Kids BY Kids Seussical. Tim Guiles - who served as musical director for last season's Mary Poppins (plus Sweeney Todd and A Little Night Music) is back to Musical Direct. Choreography is in the talented hands (and feet) of Taryn Noelle (one of Vermont's most sought-after artists. Taryn's LNT credits include Hairspray, Pippin and Annie. Seuss-inspired atmospheric setting & lighting design springs from the imagination of Ellen E Jones - who's design for Twelfth Night had people gushing earlier this season. Costume design is by Megan Johnson. Chelsea D Taylor, Ashley Rose Zoglman, & AJ Bierschwal handle the detailed stage management and properties tasks.

Just 5 shows! 7pm Fri Aug 10; 2pm & 7pm, Sat Aug 11; and 11am & 3pm Sun Aug 12. Running time: 75 minutes.

Advance Tickets are just $10. And only $5 for Kids 11 years of age and under; including toddlers. (We recommend age 4 & up). Day of/Door Tickets are $15 ($5 for youth 11 & under)
