Rebecca Liddiard, Peter Keleghan Join Cast of Toronto Premiere of DRY POWDER

Evermore Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Rebecca Liddiard (Frankie Drake Mysteries, Alias Grace) and Peter Keleghan (Workin' Moms, Murdoch Mysteries) have joined the Toronto premiere production of Dry Powder.

Liddiard will star as Jenny, a hyper-intelligent, emotionally absent Darwinian capitalist and partner in KMM Capital Management, a private equity firm struggling to make a comeback from a PR disaster. "Jenny is such a fresh, sharp, and tragic character", says Evermore producer Greg White, "Rebecca will bring so much to Jenny, she really can do anything, Rebecca is an incredibly talented artist. Fans of Rebecca's work have a lot to look forward to!".

Keleghan stars as Rick, the head of KMM Capital Management, a gifted business mind with a penchant for extravagance. "Peter is a comedic genius.", says White, "I remember first being introduced to Peter's work on CBC's The Newsroom, a series that was truly ahead of its time. Peter's performance stayed with me for twenty years, such a natural and perfect artist to portray Rick."

Dry Powder will run at The Toronto Centre for the Arts, April 4th-20th, 2019. Tickets go on sale to the public starting December 3, 2018.

About Dry Powder

The same week his private equity firm forced massive layoffs at a national grocery chain, Rick Hannel threw himself an extravagant engagement party, setting off a publicity nightmare. Fortunately, Seth, one of Rick's partners, has a dream of a deal to invest in an American-made luggage company for a song that will rescue his boss from the PR disaster. But Jenny, Rick's other partner, has an entirely different plan: to maximize returns, no matter the consequences. The game is on in this satirical, razor-sharp play about the price of success and the real cost of getting the deal done. Written by Sarah Burgess, Dry Powder premiered at The Public Theater in March 2016, directed by Thomas Kail, starring Claire Danes, John Krasinski, Hank Azaria and Sanjit De Silva.
