Macy's to Bring Joy of A CHRISTMAS CAROL to 600 Students in Need

Since 1991, Macy's has sponsored a special performance of A Christmas Carol for students from the rural and inner-city school with high rates of free and reduced lunch.

Along with the classic holiday show, the children receive free transportation, a sack lunch, and a special Christmas treat following the show that includes meeting the cast in costume.

With this year's program, the sponsorship has served more than 16,000 students in the past 27 years.

This year, Macy's will bring the joy of Christmas to 600 students from Title 1 schools with 80 percent or more students receiving free or reduced lunch, including Oyler Elementary, Latonia Elementary, Mt. Airy Elementary, Riverview East Academy, St. Frances de Sales School and more.

The students will attend A Christmas Carol on December 13 at 10 a.m. at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (962 Mt Adams Cir, Cincinnati, OH 45202). Students will stay after the performance to meet the cast in costume and receive lunch and special treats.
