HELLO,DOLLY! is Back Where it Belongs at The Gem Theatre

HELLO, DOLLY! opened on July 12 at Garden Grove's historic GEM THEATRE presented by the award-winning One More Productions - one of Southern California's leading musical theater companies.

Jerry Herman's energetic HELLO, DOLLY! is classic, American musical theater at its finest. Since its debut in 1964, the show has entertained audiences worldwide and garnered 15 Tony Awards and 3 Academy Awards, including the recent award-winning revival starring Bette Midler. HELLO, DOLLY! is boisterous and charming from start to finish and features such memorable songs as Before the Parade Passes By, It Only a Takes a Moment, Put on Your Sunday Clothes, and the infamous title number, HELLO, DOLLY!

Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Dolly Levi is a widow, a matchmaker and a professional meddler. But everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is to find someone for herself.

HELLO, DOLLY! is directed by Damien Lorton. The performance is backed by a live 7-piece band. The cast includes: Adriana Sanchez as Dolly Levi, Tim Klega as Horace Vandergelder, Josh Curtis-Switzer as Cornelius Hackl, Jacob Wayne as Barnaby, Erika Baldwin as Irene Malloy, Kelly Rosales as Minnie Fay, Hannah Gomez as Ermengarde, Peter Crisafulli as Ambrose Kemper, Carmen Tunis as Ernestina Money, Barbara Dice as Mrs. Rose, John Gillies as Judge, and Jon Michell as Rudolph.

Performances run from Thursday, July 12 through Sunday, August 5 at The GEM THEATRE. Thursdays-Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm, at the Gem Theatre in Garden Grove, CA. General admission tickets are $30 each, $26 for seniors (60 and over), and $26 for Children (12 years old and under). $20 Student Rush (Thursdays & Fridays only) may be purchased 30 minutes before the show with valid student identification card. Opening Gala Night Event Tickets, for Saturday, July 14, are $45 each and ticket holders receive an exclusive invitation to attend the post-show catered champagne Gala with the cast.

One More Productions was voted one of the top five theaters in all of Southern California by the Los Angeles Times. They were awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and The Saint James Family Honors Award by the Board of Directors of the Orange County Imperial Court. They received a Resolution from the City of Garden Grove, and an official recognition from the County of Orange.

THE GEM THEATRE, recently underwent a major reconstruction, adding a state-of-the-art sound system, newly refurbished theater seats, and a reconfigured stage. The theater also boasts a new $80,000 lighting system, three separate lobbies, and two separate concession areas and is ADA accessible. THE GEM is just moments away from the Garden Grove Freeway (22) and offers plenty of free parking.
