Gregory Porter Announces First Ever Live Album

Following three sensational sold-out performances at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year, international best-selling artist Gregory Porter has announced his first ever live album. 'One Night Only - Live At The Royal Albert Hall' will be released on Decca Records on 30 November as a CD + DVD box set, and will include a special bonus interview.

On the opening night, the jazz and soul superstar performed to a packed Royal Albert Hall, accompanied by his trusted jazz trio and a full 70-piece symphony orchestra led by Grammy-winning conductor and arranger, Vince Mendoza. The intimate concert was recorded live and includes tracks from his recent album 'Nat King Cole & Me', as well as fan favourites 'Hey Laura', 'When Love Was King' and 'Don't Lose Your Steam'. Ahead of the holiday season, the album also features Gregory's version of the Nat King Cole festive classic, 'The Christmas Song'.

Gregory has achieved international recognition with his two Grammy Award winning albums 'Liquid Spirit' and 'Take Me To The Alley', which broke records by becoming the first jazz album to break into the Top 5 for over a decade.

2018 has been yet another landmark year for Gregory when he became the biggest selling jazz artist of the year after his latest album, 'Nat King Cole & Me', hit No.3 on the Official UK Album Chart. The album landed him his highest ever chart position and biggest-selling first week. 'Nat King Cole & Me' is also Gregory's fastest streamed album to date, hitting one million streams three times faster than his previous album, 'Take Me To The Alley'.

'Liquid Spirit' took Gregory from being the biggest name on the jazz scene to being one of the most sought-after singers around today, performing sell-out shows across the UK and being invited to perform on high profile TV programmes including The Graham Norton Show where he performed with recent Decca signing, Hollywood legend Jeff Goldblum, as well as Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC Music Awards.

He has become an adopted national treasure in the UK, visiting number 10 Downing Street, and singing for the Queen multiple times, as well as major music festivals including Glastonbury, where he performed on the Pyramid Stage alongside the likes of Muse, Adele and Coldplay. Gregory's ability to transcend genres even extends to his surprise dance hit 'Liquid Spirit Claptone Remix' which became one of the most popular tracks in Ibiza.

After winning over listeners with his rich and soulful voice, Gregory's new live album will instantly remind the world of the rare combination of raw talent, and the musical sophistication which Gregory captures so effortlessly. He holds his audience in the palm of his hand.
