After enjoying its World Premiere engagement earlier this spring at the Playroom Theater, A CLASS ACT, the inaugural and relevant new play by attorney and playwright Norman Shabel, will now hold court at New World Stages - Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) for a summer run. 'VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR' Celebrates 100th Performance - 7/9/2016

The Drama Desk and Off-Broadway Alliance Award nominated show The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show will celebrate their 100th show in NYC on July 9, 2016 at 12pm at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The 100th Show will be followed by reception fit for a Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Rachel York and Betty Buckley-Led GREY GARDENS Opens at the Ahmanson - 7/10/2016

BroadwayWorld has just learned that GREY GARDENS has replaced TITANIC in the 2016 line-up at LA's Ahmanson Theatre. The production will be led by Rachel York and Betty Buckley, who both starred in a production at Bay Street Theatre earlier this year.

Original DREAMGIRLS Sheryl Lee Ralph, Loretta Devine and Jennifer Holliday Reunite - 7/10/2016

Chris Isaacson Presents in association with Ronn Goswick has announced a Broadway Under the Stars special event, a one-night-only concert starring the original Dreamgirls — Independent Spirit Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph, Emmy Award-winner Loretta Devine, and Tony Award and two-time Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Holliday in conversation and song. The curtain will rise at 8pm on Sunday, July 10 at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood. Additional performers will be announced soon.

Central City Opera to Present TOSCA - 7/16/2016

Denver, Colo. (July 1, 2016)—On July 16, 1932, Central City Opera Summer Festival, as it is known today, was launched with a performance of Alexandre Dumas' Camille, starring Lillian Gish. The weeklong run completely sold out. On July 16, 2016, 84 years later, Central City Opera continues its 2016 summer festival with the opening of a new production of Tosca, Puccini's powerful thriller of passion, seduction, and deceit, running in repertory in the Central City Opera House through August 7.
