Triumvirate Artists' DELIRIUM'S DAUGHTERS Opens at Theatre Row - 2/28/2015

Triumvirate Artists is pleased to announce the World Premiere of Delirium's Daughters, a new and refreshing take on Commedia Dell'Arte by Nicholas Korn (Stage First Cincinnati), directed by Kathleen Butler (Originated roles in Edward Albee's Three Tall Women, Occupant and Marriage Play). Delirium's Daughters will play a three week limited engagement at The Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, Manhattan). Performances begin Thursday, February 26th and continue through Saturday, March 14th. Opening Night is Saturday, February 28th at 8 p.m.

FGO Welcomes Award-Winning Conductor Anthony Barrese for THE PEARL FISHERS - 2/28/2015

?Anthony Barrese, award-winning conductor and composer, arrived in Miami yesterday to begin conducting rehearsals for Florida Grand Opera's (FGO) upcoming production of Georges Bizet's The Pearl Fishers (Les pecheurs de perles). Barrese makes his company debut conducting this French masterpiece not even two weeks after the close of FGO's well-received production of Mozart's comic opera Cosi fan tutte. The Pearl Fishers will open on Saturday, February 28, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.


Vancouver Opera to Present DIE FLEDERMAUS, 2/28 - 2/28/2015

Broadway's DISGRACED Announces Closing Date and US Tour Launch - 3/1/2015

?The Pulitzer Prize winning play DISGRACED by Ayad Akhtar will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Lyceum Theatre, 149 West 45th Street. As of that date, it will have played 149 performances and 27 previews. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, DISGRACED received Obie and Joseph Jefferson Awards.


TACT Opens ABUNDANCE Off-Broadway - 3/1/2015

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for Abundance, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart). THE LAST SHIP Company Will Reunite for 54 Below Concert on 3/2 - 3/2/2015

THE LAST SHIP will play its final performance on Broadway on Saturday, January 24 at 8 p.m., but fans still have another chance to catch the cast in action. On March 2 (9:30PM) they will reunite at 54 Below for 'Songs in the Quay of Life: THE LAST SHIP Company in Concert.' The original cast and band will celebrate their run with an eclectic evening themed around seafaring songs. Proceeds will go to support Wallsend Boys Club in the north of England, which was founded by shipbuilders.

Hang A Tale's Reimagined LITTLE PRINCE Opens Off-Broadway - 3/2/2015

Hang A Tale's Kim Martin-Cotten will direct The Little Prince at The Pearl Theatre running now through March 22nd. The cast is lead by Tarah Flanagan as The Prince and Christopher Gerson as the Aviator, while a mercurial ensemble (Kimiye Corwin, Michael Arden Larson, Jacques Roy, Jude Sandy and Paola Styron) shape-shifts its way through the host of beautiful, hilarious, and bizarre characters that surround them. With live musical performance by Alexander Sovronsky, puppets and masks created by Matt Cotten of Puppets Among Us, and space travel courtesy of Christopher Gersons's video design, Hang A Tale creates a theatrical landscape to match the magic, poignancy and humor of this beloved classic. For the open-hearted, aged six to a hundred and six.


Broadway's ON THE TOWN Revival Releases Two-Disc Cast Album - 3/3/2015

The new Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN will be recorded today, November 3, for a two-disc cast album to be released by PS Classics. ON THE TOWN, which features a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, music by Leonard Bernstein, and is based on an idea by Jerome Robbins, is currently running at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036).

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Saturday evening's performance of On the Twentieth Century was canceled due to an ill Peter Gallagher. Understudy James Moye has stepped into the role of 'Oscar Jaffe' since. BroadwayWorld has just learned that Gallagher is still out of the show to recover from a severe sinus infection. He is set to return to the production on Tuesday, March 3.

Paper Mill Playhouse is proud to announce casting for the United States premiere production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Inspired by the classic Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock. Leading the company are Michael Arden (Big River) as Quasimodo, Patrick Page (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) as Dom Claude Frollo, Ciara Renee (Pippin) as Esmeralda, Andrew Samonsky (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Captain Phoebus de Martin and Erik Liberman (Lovemusik) as Clopin Trouillefou. The Hunchback of Notre Dame will run eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey theater from March 4, 2015, through April 5, 2015. The official press opening night is Sunday, March 15, at 7:00 pm.

Larry David Makes Broadway Debut in FISH IN THE DARK - 3/5/2015

Tickets go on sale today for FISH IN THE DARK, the new comedy starring and written by Larry David, the creator and star of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and co-creator of "Seinfeld." CSO to Celebrate Beethoven This Month; Festival to Kick Off - 3/5/2015

CANTON, OH (February 19, 2015) - This Spring, the Canton Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the music and life of Ludwig van Beethoven with a two month festival. Throughout March and April 2015 the legendary composer will be the focus throughout Canton with four orchestra concerts in Umstattd Performing Arts Hall, a chamber concert performed by the Canton Symphony String Trio, two ConverZations programs at the Zimmermann Symphony Center and several films showing at the historic Canton Palace Theatre.

Two of the most distinct and idiosyncratic voices in American independent cinema, the Austin-based filmmakers David and Nathan Zellner, will be the subjects of a retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image, Kumiko and the Zellner Bros., from February 28 through March 5, 2015. The brothers will appear in person on Thursday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m., with a preview screening of their latest film, the Sundance favorite, Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter. The retrospective will also include their early features Frontier, Goliath, and Kid-Thing, and a compilation of their short films in the program Zellernoids! Short Film Cavalcade.


Laura Linney and Seth Numrich Leads SWITZERLAND at the Geffen - 3/6/2015

Laura Linney (The Big C, The Savages) and Seth Numrich (AMC's TURN, Broadway: War Horse) will perform in the Geffen Playhouse production of Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith (The Female of the Species, The Gift). LA Opera to Perform NOAH'S FLOOD - 3/6/2015

Christie is recognized as " … a top-notch conductor of new works …" by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Based on the novel by Richard Condon and directed by Kevin Newbury, The Manchurian Candidate traces the mysterious story of an American soldier decorated during the Korean War who is brainwashed into becoming an unwitting assassin in a conspiracy to overthrow the U.S. government. This taut and suspenseful thriller is the highly anticipated second opera by composer Kevin Puts and librettist Mark Campbell, creators of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Silent Night.
