Fellowes, Drewe & Stiles Bring THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS to the Stage - 10/8/2016

Another children's classic is headed to the theatre! DOWNTON ABBEY creator Julian Fellowes and MARY POPPINS songwriting team Anthony Drewe and George Stiles are joining forces to adapt THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS for the stage. The Daily Mail writes that the trio is writing a new musical version of Kenneth Grahame's 1908 novel, following the adventures of Badger, Mole, Ratty, Toad -- and a new character!

LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES Begins on Broadway - 10/8/2016

Full casting has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse production of Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereuses, starring Tony Award winners Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke.

Pittsburgh Opera To Premiere LA TRAVIATA - 10/8/2016

Pittsburgh Opera opens its 78th season with the Giuseppe Verdi favorite La traviata, at the Benedum Center October 8th-16th. La traviata – the fallen woman – is a compelling tale of love, intrigue, money, and power in 19th century France. It tells the heart-wrenching story of courtesan Violetta Valéry, played by Pittsburgh favorite Danielle Pastin.

The New Yorker Festival will present a Theatre for a New Audience production of a reading of the new two-character play About Alice that Calvin Trillin adapted from his memoir about his late wife, the educator Alice Stewart Trillin. About Alice, with Jessica Hecht as Alice and Tony Shalhoub as Calvin and directed by Leonard Foglia, will be heard one night only at the Directors Guild Theatre, 110 West 57th Street, Saturday, October 8, at 7:00pm.

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2016-2017 season with the world premiere of The Harvest, by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum. The Harvest, whose cast will feature Gideon Glick, Scott Jaeck, Leah Karpel, Peter Mark Kendall, Madeleine Martin, Christopher Sears, and Zoë Winters, will begin performances Saturday, October 8th, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 20th at the Claire Tow Theater. AZ Opera's Sapphire Celebration Presents Greatest Hits of Opera - 10/9/2016

Arizona Opera opens its 2016/17 Season with a 45th Anniversary Celebration Concert.  Hosted by mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade, the full Arizona Opera orchestra, chorus, guest artists and the Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artists will perform a sparkling concert of opera's most beloved repertoire.
