Carole J Bufford Plays The Magnolia Room BJ RYAN'S MAGNOLIA ROOM presents Carole J Bufford in You Don't Own Me: The Fearless Females of 1960s and 1970s on October 26th at 8PM. After selling out shows across the US and in London, Carole J. Bufford brings her show: You Don't Own Me: The Fearless Females of the 1960s and 1970s, to Norwalk, Connecticut's newest cabaret room.

With music made famous by Janis Joplin, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Carole King, Lesley Gore, Dionne Warwick, Jeannie C. Riley and more, Carole celebrates the songstresses of the 60s & 70s. Putting her own inimitable spin on these classics, she will delve into and celebrate a time of great change and transition in America and across the pond. The musical and cultural landscape was never the same after these bold and daring women planted their flags and ensured their voices were heard. Joining Carole will be Arthur Migliazza on piano.

Carole J. Bufford has become one of the most sought after young performers in the New York jazz & cabaret scene. Carole recently completed a ten month run at New York's historic Birdland Jazz Club. Her shows, speak easy. (featuring the Grammy Award-winning Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks), Body & Soul and Shades Of Blue earned her rave reviews across the board, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Carole is the recipient of a Nightlife, Bistro and BroadwayWorld Award for Outstanding Vocalist. She received an all-out rave in The Times(UK) for her latest appearance in London. Carole was featured in Michael Feinstein's Great American Songbook Series at Jazz @ Lincoln Center as well as his Evening Of Gershwin with the Kravis Center Pops Orchestra.
