City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, announces four shows with Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, plus concerts by Grammy Award winner Christopher Cross, American soul and R&B singer Goapele and more.

Goapele (pronounced gwa-puh-lay), which means "to move forward" in Setswana, has been doing just that, moving forward and making her presence felt as an American soul and R&B singer/songwriter since 2001. For her most recent album, Strong As Glass, she worked closely with executive producer Keith Harris, who helped push the songstress creatively. She also worked with R&B veteran Eric Benet and producer Demonte Posey to finish this genre-bending record, which includes upbeat tracks mixed with powerful ballads, hard-hitting drums, and classic Goapele vocals. Goapele's upbringing in her hometown of Oakland, California combined with ethnic influences from her South African father and New York-born Israeli Jewish mother, have created a unique artist with a passion for her music and her community. Once called the "spiritual love child of Sade and D'Angelo" by Rolling Stone magazine, Goapele has both a sensuous and serious voice that is making a difference in the music world by blending genres including jazz, soul, and hip-hop infused with her own poetry.

Christopher Cross made history with his 1980 self-titled debut album, winning five Grammy Awards, including-for the first time ever-the four most prestigious awards: Record of the Year (for the single "Sailing"), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (also for "Sailing"), and Best New Artist. Now, more than 30 years after his extraordinary emergence into the music business, Cross continues his recording and performing career with a new album, Secret Ladder, which evokes the artistry of such great singer-songwriters as Joni Mitchell and Randy Newman while addressing contemporary concerns head-on - a combination which is sure to please his loyal fan base.

Corky Siegel's Chamber Blues feat. Marcella Detroit - Album release show

Few can claim to have forged an entirely original genre of music, but in 1966, Corky Siegel did just that. Guiding the blues of Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters out of the smoky cavern of Big John's and onto the stages of the Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic and beyond, the harmonica-playing mad scientist had the tuxedo-and-gown crowd on its feet, clamoring for more of this blues-classical alchemy. These days, the harmonica virtuoso and composer is continent-hopping with Indian percussion and string quartet in Corky Siegel's Chamber Blues, continuing to bring classical and blues fans shoulder-to-shoulder and obliterating musical categorization in the process. The group's fourth album, Different Voices, is set to be released April 7, and promises to be its most revolutionary and socially unifying album to date.

Bruce Hornsby is an American singer, pianist, accordion player and songwriter. Known for the spontaneity and creativity of his live performances, Hornsby draws frequently from classical, jazz, bluegrass, folk, Motown, rock, blues, and jam band musical traditions with his songwriting and the seamless improvisations contained within. Hornsby has achieved recognition for his solo albums, performances, along with his current live act, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers. The band has released several live concert recordings, including Here Come the Noisemakers in 2000, which unveilEd Hornsby and his band's free-wheeling live approaches to the Virginia-born pianist and composer's memorable songs. The group's most recent album, Rehab Reunion, was released in July.

Emmy Award winning actress Megan Mullally of Children's Hospital, Party Down and Will & Grace met fellow actress Stephanie Hunt of Friday Night Lights, Californication and How To Live With You. Parents For the Rest of Your Life while in Austin filming the independent movie Somebody Up There Likes Me. The minute the two started singing together they realized they had something special...and those that have come out to see their new band, Nancy & Beth, agree! Within just three months of its inception, N&B had already played such fabulous venues as Royce Hall in Los Angeles and been featured as a musical guest on Conan. Their new self-titled album is set to release April 7.

Dweezil Zappa - What's in a Name?

Dweezil Zappa's band has consistently played concerts around the world for the past 10 years, performing more than 1,000 shows. In that time Zappa did not have time to cultivate his own music, but in November 2015 he released Via Zammata', his first new album since Go With What You Know in 2006. Fusing analog tape and tube guitar amps with surprising instruments such as fretless guitar and the oud, Zappa draws listeners into his intimate and multifarious musical world. Armed with unexpected vocal arrangements that sound like 'The Beach Boys procreated with the Bulgarian Women's Choir,' his most recent collection of 12 uniquely orchestrated songs represents a true metamorphosis for Zappa as a solo artist. The album was produced and arranged by Zappa and features songwriting collaborations with his father, the late Frank Zappa and venerable actor John Malkovich.

City Winery also announces that Taylor Hicks' Thursday, April 13 concert has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 18. Tickets already purchased will be honored at the May 18 performance.

Opened in 2012, City Winery Chicago is a fully operational winery, restaurant with outdoor patio, concert hall and private event space located in the heart of the West Loop at 1200 W.
