Broadway Vet Matthew Scott Named The New Creative Education Director For Broadway Dreams Veteran Broadway performer Matthew Scott has been named the new Creative Education Director of Broadway Dreams, a not-for-profit organization that provides youth and young adults with performance training, life skills building, and mentorship opportunities from the entertainment industry's most distinguished talents. Effective immediately, Scott will oversee curriculum for the organization's growing educational offerings and programming, recruit new faculty members from within the Broadway industry, and collaborate with the Broadway Dreams creative team, helping to maintain the organization's position as a leading force in performing arts education. Scott succeeds Craig D'Amico who will move to oversee an exciting new Broadway Dreams initiative to be announced, and who will continue to teach for the organization.

Currently reprising his Broadway role in the national tour of An American in Paris, Matthew Scott has also appeared on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, Jersey Boys, and A Catered Affair. Regionally, he has performed in productions at La Jolla Playhouse, the Kennedy Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse and Pittsburgh CLO.

"Having taught with Broadway Dreams for many years, I am thrilled to take a more active role within the organization while also continuing to work on my career as a performer," said Scott. "Our students benefit greatly from studying with top industry professionals and I look forward to working with our team to make our already robust, cutting-edge program even stronger and more impactful."

Broadway Dreams (Annette Tanner, Founder and President), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization established in 2006, provides youth and young adults of all socioeconomic backgrounds with performance training, life skills building, and mentorship opportunities from the entertainment industry's most distinguished talents. Broadway Dreams seeks to empower aspiring young artists through performing arts training, with a focus on the acting, voice, and dance disciplines. Program intensives are offered nationally and internationally throughout the year. To date, over 12,000 students have participated, with over one million dollars ($1M) in financial needs-based scholarships.

The organization takes great pride in guiding students through their professional journey as young artists, giving them the tools, support and industry connections they need to succeed. Over the past several years, more than150 students have landed roles in Broadway, national touring and regional productions, including Frozen, Hamilton, Waitress, School of Rock - The Musical, The Color Purple, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, Miss Saigon, The Book of Mormon and more.
