Review: LAURA OSNES DELIGHTS at AMP Strathmore At the AMP Strathmore, Laura Osnes delights in her intimate cabaret. Fans traveled from Baltimore and Springfield Va. and the DC metro area to visit the North Bethesda concert and were not disappointed.

At the cabaret, Osnes performed fan favorites like "Wonderful Guy" from South Pacific to the rousing "Love Will Come and Find Me Again" at from The Bandstand.

But what made the show especially charming were her anecdotes when she would introduce each song. Before performing each song, she would introduce the meaning of the show or the composition, adding a humanity and authenticity that fans admire the Broadway star for.

From admitting she grew from being a "girl to a woman" in South Pacific to getting "butterfly feelings" whenever she would see Matthew Morrison perform on Hairspray, Osnes does not put on a facade, adding a warmth and generosity that truly makes this former Cinderella akin to a Broadway princess.

Some standout songs she performed were a princess -- a combination of songs from "princess films" that she regularly features at her Broadway Princess parties at 54 Below in New York. She also adds a jazzy twist to "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" from Sweeney Todd.

Osnes is performing in cabarets, concerts and at 54 Below while also working on a revival of Crazy For You which she hopes will hit Broadway soon. This is no surprise for this established star who still has quite the future left for the Great White Way and beyond.
