PRIME, the NYC-based duo comprised of vocalist and songwriter, Paul Benedict, and instrumentalist and songwriter, Bryan Christopher, has officially released their new single - ACID. (RIYL: The Weeknd, Halsey, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan). PRIME takes its inspiration from the atmosphere and diversity of the metropolitan landscape, blending a score of melodic vocals, airy syncs, and a dynamic low-end pulse. ACID is PRIME's take on Britney Spears with a modern rendition of classic Prince and George Michael's salacious sound appeal. The single will be followed by a full EP - to be released Friday, July 15th. All songs were produced by Natasha Knight (Jane Blaze) of Frequency Fusion Productions and mixed by Grammy Award winner Ken Lewis, whose works spans Fun, Kanye West and Bruno Mars.

ABOUT PRIME

With the release of "Heartbeat" in 2014, and the positive press it received, PRIME has continued to focus on writing additional songs that combine Paul and Bryan's eclectic musical taste and influences, spanning Pop, Rock, R&B, Electronic, and Dance Music. The driving force for the songs were Paul's "hooky" melodies, to which he matched lyrics reflecting the peaks and valleys of his personal relationships. Without financial backing and a creative team, Paul had to leave his 9-5 paying job as a Web and Graphic Designer to devote his full energies toward managing the band and producing the visual aesthetics (Web, Photos, and Videos) that best depicted PRIME's music and lifestyle.

The duo first met when Paul was holding open guitar auditions for his project "Dexter's Kin." They released their first album, including the single, "Spill Out The Lies," which garnered over 125,000 plays on YouTube. Paul and Bryan continued playing establishments in the Tri-State area, and set out to refine and strengthen their vision by creating PRIME.
