35MM Makes Pittsburgh Premiere

The Pittsburgh premiere of 35mm: A Musical Exhibition will be performed on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Joe Negri Auditorium (part of the Lofts of Mt. Washington). 35mm is a multimedia musical by Ryan Scott Oliver inspired by photographs by Matthew Murphy. Tickets are currently on sale.

"A picture is worth 1,000 words --- what about a song? Can a picture inspire a song or fifteen? In 35mm, each photo creates an unique song, moments frozen in time; a glimmer of life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening. A stunning new multimedia musical which explores a groundbreaking new concept in musical theatre. This intricately woven collection of stories told through song re-imagines what the modern American musical can be." - SamuelFrench.com

Produced and directed by Laura Karner (the Confidential Musical Theatre Project), 35mm stars Ashley Harmon, Chris Morriss, Cody Sweet, George Heigel, Kristin Pacelli, and Laura Karner. Noah Rectenwald will be conducting.
