Review: SUNSET BOULEVARD at Teatro Maipo Sunset Boulevard, Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1993 musical premiered last week at legendary Teatro Maipo in Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires has always been a theatrical city, since it 's foundation until now, thousands of international and national show have been performed in more than a hundred of perfomance spaces all around the city. And it's to general knowledge, that Teatro Maipo, is known as "The Cathedral of Theatre".

Last year, Italo-Argentinian producer, Lino Patalano, in association with producer Gustavo Yankelevich, announced that Sunset Boulevard was making it Buenos Aires debut in April 2018. And it finally did.

Everything in the almost two and a half hour long show is astounding. The scene design, by Jorge Ferrari,
