Choreographer SIDI LARBI CHERKAOUI reflects upon the subject of icons and iconoclasm. How we create them and seem to have a need to destroy them. Cultures creating statues and artwork of their idols, only to have them torn down and replaced with new ones of their successors.
Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui created Noetic for the company in 2014. A piece that has been one of the dance company’s greatest successes ever. Now, he returns with a new creation for the company, this time together with some of his own dancers from Eastman.
