Zoe Wanamaker, Barbara Flynn and Nina Sosanya to Star in ELEGY at Donmar Warehouse

According to the Daily Mail, Zoë Wanamaker, Barbara Flynn and Nina Sosanya will star in CONSTELLATIONS playwright Nick Payne's new play ELEGY at the Donmar Warehouse this spring.

As previously announced, Donmar artistic director Josie Rourke will reunite with Payne to direct the UK premiere of the play. Payne returns to the Donmar following THE SAME DEEP WATER AS ME.

Payne's new play ELEGY imagines a near future in which radical advances in medical science mean that it's now possible extend life, but at what cost?

Zoë Wanamaker is currently starring in The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's HARLEQUINADE, which closes this weekend. Before that, she was most recently seen on the London stage in STEVIE at the Hampstead Theatre. The recipient of two Olivier Awards for Best Actress, Wanamaker has previously starred in the National Theatre productions of THE CHERRY ORCHARD, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and THE ROSE TATTOO, and in the West End's PASSION PLAY and ALL MY SONS. She received Tony Award nominations for her performances in PIAF, LOOT, ELECTRA and AWAKE AND SING on Broadway. Among her TV credits are DOCTOR WHO and MR. SELFRIDGE, as well as film roles in HARRY POTTER, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN and WILDE.

Barbara Flynn (Carrie) returns to the Donmar having previously appeared in Versailles and The Bullet. Her theatre credits include Copenhagen and Hamlet (Sheffield Crucible), The Revenger's Tragedy and King Lear (National) and An Experiment with an Air Pump (Hampstead). Flynn's many television credits include the title role in Pat & Cabbage, The Borgias, Cranford, New Tricks, The Queen, Cracker and Open All Hours. Her film credits include 1864 and Miss Potter.

Nina Sosanya recently took the stage in Chichester Festival Theatre's Chekhov season. Among her other theatre credits are THE VOTE, PRIVACY and THE VORTEX at the Donmar, CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF in the West End, and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST for the RSC.
