World Premiere of RABBITSKIN - Tour Dates Announced!

Milan Govedarica and Tullaroan Productions announce the national tour dates for the world première of Rabbitskin, which opens at Bradford Theatre in the Mill on Monday January 29 and closes at the Lowry Manchester on Friday March 1. The production is a new piece of writing by Dominic Grace. Rabbitskin was originally commissioned by West Yorkshire Playhouse and developed as part of WYP/Theatre in the Mill new writing season in 2012.

Joe can name his 20 favourite authors straight off the top of his head and quote his favourite books perfectly. He's a master storyteller like his father, a man who can make the ghosts and monsters of Irish legends seem as real as the rabbits he skins and cuts up on the kitchen table. Stripped right back to the performer in a simple bare space, the piece draws you into the character of Joe and his stories. Joe's charm and confidence mask a deeper vulnerability and eventually reveals the reasons Joe finds his own story so difficult to tell.

This hard-hitting monologue takes contemporary issues such as mental health, violence, 'problem families' and makes them real and personal through the character of Joe, an intelligent, articulate, troubled teenage boy.
