West End Recast 2 - It's back... it's bigger... it's better! On Sunday 9th November, 7:30pm, at the Phoenix Theatre.

Following on from a completely sold out premiere earlier this year, West End Recast returns with an ALL NEW sensational evening of Musical Theatre madness!
Join us for a brand new, star-studded sequel that might just be even better than the original! Where the Phantom might be female... Annie could be 65 years old... Grizabella might be a dog... and Sweeney Todd could be as nice as pie!

For one night only we give some of the West End's biggest stars the unique opportunity to sing songs from roles they have always wanted to play but will NEVER be cast in. Ignoring stereotypes and pushing boundaries, West End Recast 2 promises another unforgettable chance to witness the musical theatre impossible.

Starring Sabrina Aloueche, Nathan Amzi, Julie Atherton, Gina Beck, Daniel Boys, Rebecca Brewer, Cynthia Erivo, Fra Fee, Nick Holder, Cassidy Janson, Leon Lopez, Michael Matus, Jon Robyns, Katie Rowley Jones, Gareth Snook and Jill Winternitz.

Presenting their unique renditions of songs from... Dreamgirls, Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, Chicago, Oliver, Memphis, Matilda, RENT, Miss Saigon and many, many more.

Direction by Adam Lenson. Directing includes the European premieres of Ordinary Days (Trafalgar Studios), Little Fish and Saturn Returns (Finborough Theatre). Associate Directing includes Speed the Plow (Playhouse), Merrily We Roll Along (Harold Pinter Theatre) The Color Purple, Road Show (Menier Chocolate Factory), Race (Hampstead Theatre) and The Duck House (Vaudeville Theatre).

Musical Supervision and arrangements by Daniel A. Weiss. Daniel was the Music Supervisor, orchestrator and musical director for Anthony Rapp's one-man show, Without You (Edinburgh Fringe, Menier Chocolate Factory, South Korea, Toronto). His most recent composing credits include original music for the show, Happily After Tonight by Mateo Moreno and Dedalus Lounge by Gary Duggan (co-written with Anthony Rapp). Daniel was the assistant musical director and associate conductor for the original Broadway company of RENT. He has a multitude of Broadway credits for both conducting and/or performing, including Let It Be, Motown The Musical, ?Godspell, Hair, Taboo and Brooklyn. Daniel also appears on many soundtracks including RENT, Taboo, Brooklyn and Without You, and has toured with artists including Joan Osborne, Anthony Rapp, Valerie Carter, Jeffrey? Gaines, Neshama Carlebach and Cassidy (Antigone Rising).

The concert takes place at the Phoenix Theatre on Sunday, 9th November, 2014 at 7.30pm. Tickets start at £10.00 (Premier seats are available from the box office at £57.50).
