Direct from a national tour and a sell-out run at the Arcola Theatre, Barney Norris's hugely successful play VISITORS comes to the Bush for a 7 week run starting 26 November 2014, with a cast including two Bush Theatre alumni: the award-winning Linda Bassett and celebrated actor Robin Soans. Simon Muller and Eleanor Wyld also return to complete this full, original cast.

VISITORS is a funny and touching portrait of life-long love and ageing in modern rural Britain.

In a farmhouse at the edge of Salisbury Plain, a family is falling apart. Stephen can't afford to put his mother into care; Arthur can't afford to stop working and look after his wife. When a young stranger with blue hair moves in to care for Edie as her mind unravels, the family are forced to ask: are we living the way we wanted?

A beautiful and sharply funny love story, Visitors takes a haunting look at the way our lives slip past us.

VISITORS originally ran at the Arcola Theatre in Spring 2014.

Barney Norris (playwright) is co-artistic director of Up in Arms. His plays include Fear of Music and At First Sight. His first book, To Bodies Gone: The Theatre of Peter Gill, has recently been published by Seren.

Most recently she appeared at the Donmar Warehouse in Roots and has previously performed at the National Theatre, Royal Court and RSC. Her television credits include Lark Rise to Candleford, Sense and Sensibility and The Life & Adventures of Nick Nickleby. Her film appearances include East is East, for which she was BAFTA nominated, The Reader, Calendar Girls and The Hours.

Robin Soans (Arthur) is an accomplished playwright, whose most recent play Perseverance Drive played at the Bush Theatre. He has appeared on stage at the RSC, Hampstead Theatre, The Globe and the National Theatre. His screen credits include Endeavour, Silk, Doctor Who and The Queen.

After her training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Eleanor Wyld (Kate) appeared in Unscorched (Finborough), Dances of Death (Gate), The Astronaut's Chair (Theatre Royal Plymouth) and Bedroom Farce/Separate Tables (Salisbury Playhouse).
