Carrie Hope Fletcher will star as Wednesday Addams, alongside Samantha Womack and Les Dennis, in the UK and Irish premiere of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a musical comedy, with book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, based on the characters created by Charles Addams. The UK and Ireland Tour will open at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh on 20 April 2017. Tickets are available from the official website.

Long before she was cast in the role, West End Video recorded Carrie performing her version of the song back in 2014 at West End Fest. Since then, the video has gone on to become one of the top five on YouTube of the song, racking up over half a million views.

On the announcement becoming public, Carrie released a video on her own YouTube channel about being cast in her dream role, with a snippet of the audition video she filmed for composer Andrew Lippa:

Carrie said: "Just the idea of auditioning for the people who were going to be making The Addams Family a reality in the UK was unbelievably exciting for me - let alone the idea of potentially getting the role, just auditioning was a dream..."
