Stuart Brayson writes:

I'm thrilled to announce that the amazing and prestigious The Chivenor Military Wives have recorded one of my songs. The song in question is called YOU MUST BE STRONG and is a very personal one to me; let me explain. I wrote it only a short while after my mother passed away, sadly only months before my show From Here To Eternity opened in London's West End which she had so longed to see. My mother had always been my greatest supporter and always encouraged me to keep going over the years I have spent as a struggling singer and songwriter. Indeed she had always been the first to hear anything I wrote and her opinion and validation always meant so much to me. So you can imagine her loss hit me bad.

So when I wrote YOU MUST BE STRONG it almost felt like my mother was speaking to me or through me perhaps as a way to get me back on track at my lowest point. And then I realised the song's sentiment is universal; we all suffer loss one way or another but really the ones we love and lose have simply gone on ahead. So hopefully the song and its positive message of hope in time can provide a little light and comfort to those in a similar dark place. I know my mother would personally be overjoyed that her boy's song was being performed by The Chivenor Military Wives as she was also a military wife. My dad was in the Coldstream Guards and served out in Palestine in the late forties.

YOU MUST BE STRONG, performed by The Chivenor Military Wives to raise funds for the charity 'Walking with the Wounded', is available to download from ITunes, Amazon and all major platforms now.
