Shana Farr, the multi-talented actress/singer who won the coveted Julie Wilson Award at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's 23rd Annual Cabaret Convention last October at Jazz at Lincoln Center, will make her London singing debut at The Crazy Coqs (20 Sherwood Street) in London, England, on May 14 - 18, 8:00 PM with two late-night shows May 17 - 18, 10:30 PM.

She will present her critically acclaimed cabaret show, Whistling Away The Dark, Through The Songs of Julie Andrews. Inspired by the rich collection of lyrics and melodies that have become synonymous with Ms. Andrews, Shana Farr weaves together an evening of songs that represent not only great American standards by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, The Gershwins and The Sherman Brothers, but also beautiful lesser known numbers by Henry Mancini, Arthur Schwartz, Noel Coward and Jimmy Van Heusen.

Reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited. Tel: 020 7734 4888 or visit: www.brasseriezedel.com. There is a £20.00 cover.

Ms. Farr brings her own voice and interpretations to these timeless songs as she celebrates a woman she so admires - Julie Andrews, the talentEd English performer who became America's sweetheart and influenced the great songwriters of both Broadway and Hollywood.

Shana's sojourn to London in May will not only be exciting for the beautiful blonde performer, but it will give her a chance to perform before new audiences on the other side of the Atlantic and, perhaps, give her a chance for some needed R & R after a busy few months in the States. In April, Shana performed with d Whistling Away The Dark as a Benefit for The Episcopal Actors' Guild of NYC at their Guild Hall and performed with Mark Campbell and Julie Reyburn, in Take Me Home Tonight: The Songs of Mira Spektor, at The Metropolitan Room on three consecutive Monday nights.

The year has already been song-filled for Shana with performances celebrating the James Bond films at 54 Below during Oscars Week, Rockin' The Rockaways Benefit at The Metropolitan Room, celebrating songs of Amanda McBroom, singing unplugged at The Mansion and uncovering trunk songs with Steve Ross And Friends at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center. During the past year, she also introduced her debut album, Out Of The Shadows, at a Release Party this past November 30 at New York City's historic Players Club.

When she returns from London, Shana will take her new show, Broadway Classics, to her home town Columbia, MO for two performances Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 at 7:00 PM presented at Jack's Gourmet Restaurant, 1903 Business Loop 70 E Columbia, MO 65201. There is a $20.00 cover and $15.00 food/beverage minimum. Reservations: 573.449.3927 or Melissa@JacksGourmetRestaurant.com.
