According to the Daily Mail, Saskia Reeves and Danny Webb are set to star in THE MISTRESS CONTRACT in the Vicky Featherstone-helmed production of Abi Morgan's play at the Royal Court's Jerwood Theatre Downstairs. The show begins January 30, 2014.

Reeves and Webb will play 'She' and 'He', the pseudonyms of a real-life couple who live in separate houses in the same city on the west coast of America. She is 88. He is 93.

The pair met in college, then went their separate ways only to come back together 20 years later. She asked the man to sign a "Mistress Contract" which listed the rules of their relationship. She also recorded all of their conversations, and Morgan's play is based on these materials. For more about the production, click here.

Onstage, Reeves has appeared in many productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, including 'Tis Pity She's A Whore, A Woman Killed With Kindness, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and more, the international tour of A Disappearing Number as 'Ruth', Ice Cream, King Lear and The Woman Before at the Royal Court, Orpheus Descending at the Donmar, The Darker Face of the Earth at the National Theatre, Playhouse Creatures at the Old Vic and many other productions.

Reeves' upcoming film projects include Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac, and the TV movies Salting the Battlefield, Turks & Caicos and From There to Here. Past TV credits include Wallander, One Night, Page Eight, Inspector Lewis, Luther, Midsomer Murders, MI-5, Island at War, Waking the Dead, Dune and more.

Webb starred in the Olivier Award-winning production of Blasted at the Lyric Theatre in 2011. That same year, he appeared in the Royal Court's Chicken Soup with Barley and starred at the National Theatre in '13'. Webb will next be seen in the films Ironclad: Battle for Blood, A Little Chaos, Squat, Residue and Prometheus 2. Past screen credits include Locke, Redemption, and the TV series Lightfields, Strike Back, Casualty, Land Girls, Holby City, The Bill, Honest, Life Begins, Take Me, The Jump, The Perfect State, 99-1, Cardiac Arrest, Brookside and more.

The Mistress Contract is Abi Morgan's Royal Court Theatre debut. Her theatre credits include most recently 27 for National Theatre of Scotland and Frantic Assembly'sLovesong. Her previous plays for the stage include Skinned, Splendour and Tiny Dynamite. A BAFTA award-winning writer; on film, she wrote the screenplay for The Iron Lady starring Meryl Streep and Shame, directed by Steve McQueen and starring Michael Fassbender and on television, her credits include BBC2's The Hour, Birdsong, starring Eddie Redmayne on BBC1, White Girl and Sex Traffic on Channel 4.
