The legendary Richard O'Brien visited the cast of The Rocky Horror Show today as they prepare for their gala!

David Bedella, Ben Forster and Haley Flaherty lead the company during their short run at the Playhouse.

O'Brien will join other celebrities including Stephen Fry and Emma Bunton on stage on Thursday 17th September in a charity gala to raise money for Amnesty International.

The show will be broadcast in cinemas across Europe.

Those attending the special Amnesty gala performance will also have the opportunity to take action for Ihar Tsikhanyuk, an openly gay drag performer living in Belarus who was taken from his hospital bed and beaten by police for campaigning on gay rights. Although being gay in Belarus is not illegal, it remains hard for LGBTI people to access rights and there are no specific laws to protect them.

Amnesty International UK's Events Manager Akita Hancock said: "We're delighted that so many special guest stars have agreed to be part of what promises to be a spectacular performance. The Rocky Horror Show is a fabulous celebration of freedom and expression - a fundamental area of Amnesty's work. So this is a perfect opportunity to rally support for men and women like Ihar Tsikhanyuk and to call for justice for all transgender people whose rights are under threat."
