Tonight, July 17th at 7pm RICH MIX CINEMA will screen LIVE the Wyndham's Theatre performance of Bill Nighy (Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Love Actually) and Carey Mulligan (Inside Llewyn Davis, The Great Gatsby) in the 20th anniversary West End production of David Hare's Skylight, directed by Academy Award®-nominated Stephen Daldry. Broadcast by National Theatre Live (NT LIVE), this is another fantastic example of London's West End coming to London's East End...

SKYLIGHT: On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis (Carey Mulligan) receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant (Bill Nighy), a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.

With the July 17th screening of Skylight, RICH MIX CINEMA continues its highly successful NT LIVE programme: the LIVE screening of West End and National Theatre productions giving cinema audiences the opportunity of enjoying first class theatre from the comfort of their local cinema seat at a fraction of the cost. Each NT LIVE broadcast is filmed in front of a live audience; cameras are carefully positioned throughout the auditorium to ensure that cinema audiences get the 'best seat in the house' view of each production. Where these cameras are placed is different for each broadcast to make sure that cinema audiences enjoy the best possible experience every time.

Says Negede Assefa, Rich Mix Film Officer: "There are lots of theatre fans among Rich Mix members, local Shoreditch residents, and the growing number of visitors to the area and we're delighted to be able to continue offering NT LIVE's outstanding titles to our audiences at very reasonable prices. Going to the theatre can be an expensive night out so we're pleased to be able to offer a very good combined cinema/theatre experience to a wide audience. NT LIVE offers a truly diverse programme - our three most recent titles were King Lear, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and the timely revival of A Small Family Business; all three films were well attended and we anticipate high demand for the brilliantly performed Skylight. We're also looking forward to more NT LIVE screenings later this year."
