A funny, touching and totally original musical about families, secrets and the passing of a way of life, Once We Lived Here, by Dean Bryant and Mathew Frank, will preview from Wednesday 2 April and run to Saturday 26 April.

Amy runs Emoh Ruo, the family sheep station in northern Victoria. She's held onto the property through drought, bushfire and falling wool prices, determined not to let it slip out of the family grasp. But when the family gathers over a scorching long weekend, Amy has to face up to the myths and lies the place has been built upon. Is she holding on, or is she stuck?

The cast includes award-winning Australian Home and Away actress Melle Stewart, who covered and played the lead character of Sophie in the Australian and Asian tour of Mamma Mia! and Iestyn Arwel, who appeared at the King's Head Theatre in 2013 in the world premiere of Lionel Bart's musical, Quasimodo. The rest of the cast are: Simone Craddock, Shaun Rennie and Belinda Wollaston.

Dean Bryant and Mathew Frank's first musical, Prodigal was produced at Chapel off Chapel in 2000 (Green Room Award - Best Original Score) and off-Broadway by the York Theatre Company in 2002 - the first Australian musical produced in New York City. Virgins: A Musical Threesome premiered at the CUB Malthouse in 2006 (receiving six Green Room nominations), and toured to New York City later that year, before touring regional Victoria in 2007. Jumpin' the Q was produced at the Old Fitz (AWGIE nomination). Their adaptation of Sonya Hartnett's The Silver Donkey has toured the US twice and a collation of their work, All Roads Lead to Home was part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival. Dean is the worldwide Associate Director of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - the Musical as well as a Helpmann nominee for his direction of The Last Five Years. He created Gaybies, a verbatim theatre piece about children growing up with gay parents that featured an all-star Australian cast. He directed the Australian premiere of Next to Normal, and a new version of Sweet Charity that is currently playing to rave reviews across Australia.www.bryantandfrank.com
