Anna-Louise Knight and Lara McDonnell will join Matilda Shapland and Violet Tucker in the title role of the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical from 17 March 2015.

New cast members joining Anna-Louise and Lara in the three teams who play the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall are as follows: Brian Comer, Connor Deeks, Dayna Dixon, Caoimhe Judd, Imogen Kingsley-Smith, Lia Moxom, Harrison Noble, Anna Grace O'Hare, Max Reader, Charlotte Ross-Gower, Kyle Stevens, Eva Trodd and Harrison Vaughan.

Nael Ameen, Lily Blackwell, Joshua Cameron, Polly Grace Coombes, Connor Davies, Denzel Eboji, HavAna Garcia, Remi Gooding, Luka Green, Hannah Hutchins, Annabel Otterburn and Rory Toms will continue in the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda and the pupils at Crunchem Hall.

The children star alongside Craige Els who stepped into the girdle of Miss Trunchbull in September 2014, James Clyde (Mr Wormwood), Haley Flaherty (Miss Honey) and Kay Murphy (Mrs Wormwood).

Adult cast includes: Lucy Jane Adcock, Fabian Aloise, Ashley Cooper, Jonathan Cordin, Ashleigh Drew, Nicholas Duncan, Demi Goodman, Will Kenning, Antony Lawrence, Max Parker, Lisa Davina Phillip, Charlotte Scott, Tommy Sherlock, Hollie Taylor, Amy Thornton, Jason Winter and Joshua Wyatt.

Matilda The Musical has been nominated for the prestigious ITV This Morning Audience Award at this year's Laurence Olivier Awards. The only Olivier award voted for by the public,Matilda is nominated alongside Billy Elliot, Jersey Boys and Wicked. Voting continues until 5pm on Friday 10 April and the winner will be announced at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards ceremony on Sunday 12 April.

Capturing the imagination of young and old alike, Matilda The Musical continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre in London. Seen by over 1.5million people since it transferred to the West End in October 2011, the production was commissioned by the RSC and played to sold-out audiences at the RSC's The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon for twelve weeks from November 2010 to January 2011. In 2014 Matilda The Musical celebrated its 1000th performance in London and tickets are now on sale until 20 December 2015.

Matilda The Musical has now received a total of 50 awards in Stratford-upon-Avon, London and New York. Sweeping the board at the 2012 Laurence Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking seven awards, Matilda The Musical has gone on to take Broadway by storm winning four Tony Awards® and a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater for each of the four girls sharing the title role.

The New York production of Matilda The Musical, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers opened in March 2013 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre. During 2015, the London and Broadway productions of Matilda The Musical will be joined by the US tour opening in Los Angeles at the end of May and the Australian premiere in Sydney this August.

Matilda The Musical is produced in the West End by the Royal Shakespeare Company with André Ptaszynski and Denise Wood as Executive Producers. The production was developed with the support of Company Dramaturg Jeanie O'Hare and the RSC Literary Department.

Matilda The Musical is written by playwright Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by comedian, musician and composer Tim Minchin, and direction by Matthew Warchus. The production is designed by Rob Howell, with choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations, additional music and musical supervision by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound bySimon Baker and the special effects and illusions are by Paul Kieve.
