The Daily Mail writes that recent Drama Centre grad Morfydd Clark will take on the female lead in Sheffield's ROMEO AND JULIET at the Crucible this fall. Freddie Fox plays Romeo in the play, beginning September 17, 2015.

Sheffield describes the play: "Romeo & Juliet bursts on to the Crucible stage in this glistening new production. Experience the first rush of love as Shakespeare's most famous couple meet and marry in fearless defiance of their rival families. Vibrant and fizzing with life, celebration is blown apart by tragedy in this electric production directed by Jonathan Humphreys (Boeing Boeing, The Village Bike)."

Alongside Humphreys, the ROMEO AND JULIET creative team includes designer Hannah Clark and lighting designer Lizzie Powell.

Clark is currently starring in Gary Owen's new play VIOLENCE AND SON at the Royal Court upstairs. She recently appeared on in the BBC movie A POET IN NEW YORK and on the big screen in THE FALLING. Her upcoming film projects include LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES.
