Another traveler hits the road! The Daily Mail writes that MATILDA's Haley Flaherty has joined the cast of the new musical TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT at Chichester this spring.

TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT, based on the novel by Graham Greene, with book by Emmy winners Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman and music & lyrics by the Olivier Award-winning team George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, will play Chichester Festival's Minerva Theatre, 18 April - 4 June 2016.

As previously reported, Christopher Luscombe directs a cast headed by Patricia Hodge and Steven Pacey as 'Aunt Augusta' and 'Henry', respectively. Flaherty will play 'Tooley,' described by the Mail as "an American hippie."

Chichester's official description reads: "Retired bank manager Henry Pulling is happy alone with his dahlias. Until, at his mother's funeral, he meets his only living relative, the decidedly bohemian Aunt Augusta. After she's rattled the family skeletons, she suggests the pair flee to Europe. Henry is reluctant, but Aunt Augusta is nothing if not persuasive. Through Paris and Istanbul and on to South America, Henry soon finds himself in a luxurious whirl of glamorous flight attendants, chic hotel suites and a particularly fine couchette on the Orient Express. But alongside the romance and first-class thrills, there's still a lot Henry doesn't know about his aunt. Particularly how she's paying for the high life, and why she has so many grateful men dotted around the globe."

Flaherty recently finished her run as 'Janet Weiss' in the West End's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and played 'Miss Honey' for more than three years in MATILDA THE MUSICAL. Among her other London stage credits are LOVE NEVER DIES, as well as MAMMA MIA!, CHICAGO and GREASE on tour in the UK, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE in London, FOLLIES at Royal & Derngate, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and THE BOYFRIEND at the Open Air Theatre and more.
