The work is one of several dramas in the running after Rufus Norris takes over as artistic director. Churchill's 1976 play is set during the English Civil War and premiered at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.

Olivier winner Turner has helmed productions in the West End, on Broadway, and for the Royal National Theatre, the RSC and more. This year, she directed Rebecca Hall in MACHINAL on Broadway for the Roundabout Theatre Company. Turner is set to direct Benedict Cumberbatch in HAMLET at the Barbican Theatre this summer.

Among her other credits are FATHERS AND SONS at the Donmar, CANDIDE for RSC, CHIMERICA at the Almeida, Posh at the Royal Court and more.
