John Barrowman is returning to Glasgow, it was announced this week.

"For the fifth year running we're back in Glasgow!" Barrowman, who will be joined by The Krankies in CINDERELLA, said in a statement this week. "I'm so excited to be back with Janette and Ian Krankie in our panto home, and to be tackling the role of Buttons in Cinderella. So come on girls, bring your glass slipper and find your Prince!"

Barroman has played lead roles in musicals both in the West End and on Broadway, including Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard and Matador. After appearing in Sam Mendes' production of The Fix, he was nominated for the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical and, in the early 2000s, returned to the role of Billy Crocker in the revival of Anything Goes. He recently appeared in the 2009 West End production of La Cage aux Folles. He is known for his role as Captain Jack Harkness on 'Doctor Who' and 'Torchwood.' He has also released several albums, including 'Music Music Music,' 'Another Side,' and 'Swings Cole Porter.
