At last, some of the cast has been revealed for the upcoming UK tour of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG! The Daily Mail writes that Martin Kemp (as the Childcatcher), Jason Manford (as Caractacus Potts thru April 24), Lee Mead (as Potts beginning May 4), Phill Jupitus and Michelle Collins will star in the show.

James Brining will direct Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman and Jeremy Sams' musical at the West Yorkshire Playhouse from December 2, followed by a run at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, starting February 10, 2016. CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG will then head out on a UK tour. GYPSY's Stephen Mear will choreograph.

Based on the 1968 film, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG premiered in the West End in 2002 with choreography by Gillian Lynne. It migrated to Broadway in 2005 and launched a UK tour the following year.

The official description reads, "One of the world's favourite musicals, CHITTY CHITTY, BANG BANG will have audiences of all ages flying high with its mixture of madness, intrigue and exuberance. Can the loveable but whacky inventor, Potts, along with his two children and the gorgeous Truly Scrumptious outwit the bombastic Baron Bomburst who has decreed that all children be banished from his kingdom? What happens when the children are caught and imprisoned with the other youngsters by the evil Childcatcher? Will it all end happily-ever-after? Well, of course it will! Having broken all box office records in the West End, this fun-filled production from the team that brought you Fiddler on the Roof and The King and I promises laughs and magic galore -- and Chitty herself!"
