Improbable present Keith Johnstone's Lifegame Part chat show. Part improv show. Unique theatre. AN IMPROBABLE AND LYRIC HAMMERSMITH PRODUCTION at Lyric Hammersmith, London07 - 17 July

When was your first kiss? Where was your happiest holiday? Who is your hero?
From Australia to America, Lifegame has told the stories of over 200 people. Internationally renowned company, Improbable bring this critically acclaimed show back to the Lyric Hammersmith for the first time in over ten years.

Lifegame is theatrical biography. Each night a mystery guest is interviewed about their life: their loves, regrets, fantasies and dreams. Improbable transform their stories, there and then, into a magical piece of theatre. Previous guests have included Joanna Lumley, Richard Eyre and Barry Cryer but have more often been people like Officer Ben Jolly III (a San Diego cop), Sister Angela Mary (a Brisbane nun) and Charles Yelland (92 year old retired printer from Leeds).

Improbable was founded in 1996 by Phelim McDermott, Julian Crouch, Lee Simpson and producer Nick Sweeting. The company have an international reputation for innovative, exciting and accessible theatre having toured to over 20 countries with 70 Hill Lane, Animo, Lifegame, Cinderella, Coma, Spirit, Sticky, The Hanging Man, Theatre Of Blood, Stars are Out Tonight, The Wolves in the Walls, Satyagraha and Panic.

As well as creating shows Improbable has been developing a more direct approach to tackling complex social and cultural issues through hosting and facilitating Open Space events, which so far have taken place all around the UK and in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Israel, Canada, USA, Serbia and Brazil. The idea to do Lifegame at the Lyric was the result of a series of Open Space meetings held by Improbable with the staff of the Lyric Hammersmith.
