Following her acclaimed sell-out show last year at Above The Arts Theatre, Ceili O'Connor has been invited to perform a cabaret at Century Members Club on Shaftesbury Avenue on July 11.

Ceili has had the great fortune to have understudied some of the most iconic roles in the West End and on UK tours - but also the misfortune of never getting the chance to play those parts in front of a live audience. In The Understudy, she will be performing some of those iconic songs that she has rehearsed so well - and more!

Most recently seen as Nikki Wade in Bad Girls at the Union Theatre, Ceili's various musical theatre credits include roles in Grand Hotel (Southwark Playhouse), Elf The Musical (Dominion Theatre), Evita (UK tour), Crazy For You (Upstairs At The Gatehouse), The Wizard Of Oz (London Palladium), The Fantasticks (Duchess Theatre) - and her vocals feature on a number of albums, including Elf The Musical, Words Shared With Friends, Bobby Cronin's The Concrete Jungle and the Original London Cast recording of The Wizard Of Oz.

She will be joined in the cabaret at Century by a number of stellar guest performers, including (subject to availability) Harry Atlee, Eloise Davies (Bad Girls), Sophie Evans (Lord Of The Dance, The Wizard Of Oz), Matthew Harvey, Emma Kingston (Les Miserables, In The Heights), Aisling O'Connor, Ryan O'Gorman (The Phantom Of The Opera), Oliver Savile (Wicked, The Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables), Emily Tierney (Wicked, The Wizard Of Oz), Imelda Warren-Green (Bad Girls, Whistle Down The Wind).

Under the musical supervision of Tim Evans and with an eclectic mix of musical genres featuring songs as diverse as Somewhere Over The Rainbow, You Must Love Me, Jackson 5's ABC, Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman and Never Fall In Love With An Elf - "The Understudy" promises to be an evening of great music and pleasant surprises.
