Clive Francis stars as 'William Pennington' in Dead Letter Perfect's World Premiere of Andrew Keatley's THE GATHERED LEAVES at the Park Theatre this summer.

Antony Eden directs the production, which celebrates its press night tonight, July 16, running through August 15, 2015.

Park Theatre's description reads: "The Pennington family have not been in the same room for over 17 years. But on the eve of William's 75th birthday, all three generations gather with the aim of putting the past well and truly behind them. If only it were that simple. And to make matters worse, they are running out of time -- or rather William is -- as the world that he has always known is steadily beginning to crumble around him...The Gathered Leaves is a moving, poignant and funny family drama that sees the weight of family history, of reputation, and of expectation, all descend on one family over Easter weekend in 1997."

Francis joins Jane Asher, who plays William's wife, along with Asher's real-life daughter Katie Scarfe as the actress' daughter onstage. Alexander Hanson will portray Asher's son in the play.

Francis is known for his one-man version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, which he has taken on tour domestically and internationally. He led 84, CHARING CROSS ROAD at the Salisbury Playhouse this year and has also starred in the West End's THERE'S A GIRL IN MY SOUP, as well as productions at the RSC, Chichester Festival Theatre, the National, on several UK tours and all across London. He is also known for his role in the film A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.
