Debbie Allen's hit Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Cat On A Hot Tin Roof will come to an end tonight, 10th April at London's Novello Theatre.
The production which won this year's Lawrence Olivier Award for Best Revival, has been playing to packed audiences in the West End since December 1st 2009.
The all black version of
Tennessee Williams' classic play has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike during its run at the theatre, with producers
Stephen C. Byrd and
Alia Jones also being credited with bringing a new and diverse audience into London's West End.

Whilst the production has been playing to audiences in London, many famous faces have taken the opportunity to see the show including
Thandie Newton, Alesha Dixon, Lemar, Emma B,
David Tennant and Lenny Henry.
The play boasts a stella cast of
James Earl Jones as Big Daddy and
Phylicia Rashad as Big Mama , who both originated from the Broadway production, alongside
Adrian Lester as Brick and
Sanaa Lathan as Maggie in the UK.
Tennessee Williams' Cat On A Hot Tin Roof was last seen in the West End in 2001 directed by
Anthony Page with a cast including Frances O'Connor,
Brendan Fraser,
Ned Beatty and
Gemma Jones. In1988
Howard Davies directed a
National Theatre production with a cast including
Ian Charleson,
Lindsay Duncan,
Barbara Leigh-Hunt and
Eric Porter.
