Bennett To Star In THE WESTENDERS UK Tour

Olivier Award-winning actress Tracie Bennett will lead a West End cast in The WestEnders; The World's Most Popular Musicals in Concert, a brand new gala concert which will tour the UK for 8 dates only, opening at Princess Theatre Torquay on Wednesday 9 April 2014.
Promising a night in the West End at your local theatre, The WestEnders is an unmissable evening celebrating the world's most popular musicals including LES MISERABLES, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon. A company of past performers from the record-breaking West End production of LES MISERABLES draw on that show's passion and music to create an inspired evening accompanied by a live seven-piece band playing exciting new arrangements.
The cast will be led by Olivier-Award winning and Tony-Award nominated actress Tracie Bennett, who will reprise her legendary performance as Judy Garland for which she received an Olivier Award nomination whilst starring in the West End production of End of the Rainbow. Tracie's other West End credits includeLa Cage Aux Folles at the Playhouse Theatre, Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre (Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), Madame Thenardier in LES MISERABLES at the Queens Theatre and She Loves Me at the Savoy Theatre (Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical).
This brand new production for 2014 also features Frances Fry (Oliver!, Les Miserables) Stephen Weller (Martin Guerre, Les Miserables, The Producers) Jill Nalder (Oliver!, Les Miserables) Andrew Newey (Joseph, Miss Saigon) Linda Jarvis (Aspects Of Love, Les Miserables) Adrian Grove (Starlight Express, Les Miserables, Saturday Night Fever).
For over a decade WestEnders have established themselves as one of the country's leading musical theatre companies, wowing audiences in the UK and Europe with shows including The Best Musicals Ever! and West End Goes Ballroom.
Arrangements and musical direction are by Jae Alexander (conducting credits include West Side Story, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, Follies, Cats, Crazy For You, Oliver!, Beauty And The Beast, Guys And Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof and South Pacific).
