Jacqueline Tate is returning to a role she's done before - and she couldn't be happier about it.

She's playing Christmas Eve in Sell-A-Door's new production of Avenue Q, which is about to head off around the UK after a run at the Greenwich Theatre, and so far it's proving a resounding success.

She's full of praise and for the audiences: "People are laughing so much - it makes our job much easier! There are some people I recognise in the audience who have seen the show in the West End, but there are new people there as well - you can tell with the sort of laughs you get. But it's nice that people return to see it and are still enjoying it!"

And it's not just audiences - the cast are having great fun too.

"This is the third time I've done the show, and during rehearsal I was still laughing as if I was hearing it for the first time!"

She's glad that the tour has been focused on attracting younger audiences into theatre: "That ethos is one of the reasons I signed up."

And now the cast and crew have their fingers crossed that the same thing will happen around the country.

"It'll be exciting to put the show into different venues and work in different spaces," she says. "It should be a great tour."
