The Tony-Award winning Alfie Boe releases his second album, Alfie, along with a DVD "Alfie Live," both available June 5th on Decca. With special guests including Robert Plant and Nick Jonas, the album is described as "a collection of timeless pop songs and musical theatre favorites from such classics as Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, West Side Story and Les Miserables to name a few."

After assuming the lead role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at The Queens Theatre in London, Alfie led the cast in Cameron Mackintosh's 25th Anniversary celebration of the show at London's 02 Arena.  The DVD sold 500,000 copies in the UK and was also a successful PBS special in the U.S.  No stranger to the world of theatre, Alfie's first claim to fame in the U.S. was a Tony win for his starring role in legendary director Baz Luhrmann's acclaimed Broadway production of Puccini's La Boheme.

Alfie will join Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Elton John and additional top names in music for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert on June 4th in London. The lineup of A-list musical stars will perform in the presence of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the royal family, to be broadcast by the BBC in the U.K., with highlights airing on ABC in the U.S. on June 5.

Alfie's own PBS television concert special, "Alfie Live" will also be broadcast across the U.S. throughout the month of June (check local listings).  Filmed in December of 2011, the show features material from the new album as well as additional selections from Alfie's debut album, Bring Him Home.   Extensive U.S. fall concert dates will be announced in conjunction with the PBS broadcasts in June.

Alfie Boe performed to over 300,000 fans in 2011, and has already amassed impressive album sales of over 750,000 copies in the UK alone.  His autobiography will be published in England later in 2012. Promising to be an intimate account of Alfie's life, the book covers his childhood growing up as the youngest of nine children to a family in the north of England, being talent-spotted while working as a car mechanic, bringing his music to fans across the globe, and singing on Broadway and legendary opera houses all while developing his successful recording and touring career.
